Sometimes our observational skills can play tricks on us, and we can easily distort what we see by what we think we see.
To overcome this, I've discovered some simple strategies that help me, and I want to share.

1) The Rotation Method:
Rotate the sheet of paper and the reference image. So, the brain needs to rethink what it´s observing.

2) The Grid Method:
This method helps you to draw in an accurate way by refining observational skills. You just need to replicate the grid on paper and work square by square.

3)The Window Method:
Take two white sheets, cut a square in both and pose over the area to replicate (one above photo and other above drawing) That way we will concentrate only on what we see.

4) The Distance Method:
Make a stop in the process, take a step back and view the creation from the distance. That allows you to create cognitively an objective perspective.
