Habitat: Shoreline. Breed in tundra. Outside of breeding season, marine habitats (coastal inlets, estuaries, and bays).
Characteristics: Feeds on Invertebrates, especially bivalves, small snails, and crustaceans. It measures 23–26 cm and weight 100-200 g.
Conservation Status: Near Threatened
