The Diademed tanager (Stephanophorus diadematus) that is not only intense blue, it also has an attractive and complex vocalization. It is found in southern Brazil, northeast Argentina, and Uruguay and in rural gardens, subtropical / tropical heavily degraded former forests. It also measures up to 19 cm and the adult weights up to 31 gr. On their menu there are insects, fruits, seeds, nectar or various combinations of these nutrients. Some species follow the movements of the army ants and snatch the startled insects.
