In this painting the Saffron-Cowled Blackbird (Xanthopsar flavus) is trying to scare the Shiny Cowbird (Molothrus bonariensis) because the Cowbirds lay eggs in Blackbird nests, besides that they chicks grow faster monopolize food. Both Birds are located in Middle- and Southamerica and on their menu there are insects, seeds and rice. The painting is based on a photo of Ramon Moller Jensen.
