The dark-breasted merganser (Mergus octosetaceus) is a very endangered bird species that only is seen in South America. It is mostly seen near wet areas and also bodies of water as it is known to be a fisher there. To do this, it dives into the water for up to 27 seconds to find and eat its next meal.
I drew this watercolor for this rare bird, not only because I wanted it to get special attention but because I made it into a book!
It's called: "Misiones - Tierras Prometidas", which is about the connection to nature in the Argentine province of Misiones.

This watercolor artwork can be framed and delivered at an additional cost.
